Acts of Faith: A drama group who presents skits and/or short plays and dramatic readings to be presented during Sunday worship. Rehearsals, TBD
AWE: Every week, our praise group assists in leading one of our two Sunday worship services. They also lend their gifts to holiday celebrations and church events. Mentoring available for less experienced musicians. Thursdays @ 5:15pm in the Chapel
Banquet West: All are welcome to join members of our community for fellowship and a meal provided by local churches, organizations and businesses. Sundays @ 5:30pm-7pm in the Fellowship Hall
Children’s Choir: This choir welcomes children, grades Pre-k through 5. Wednesdays @ 4pm in the Chapel. Snacks are provided.
Church Council: Second Tuesday @ 6pm in the Fellowship Hall
ECHO: A vocal group for young people high school; they prepare and present a musical offering during worship every few weeks, as well as for church holidays and events. The music they sing is very contemporary. Tuesdays @ 6:30pm in the Chapel.
Executive Committee: First Tuesday @ 6pm in the Media Room
Lutefisk: Last Saturday in February
Handbell Choir: Prepares and presents musical offerings in worship on a regular basis. Training is available. Wednesdays @ 7:00pm in the Sanctuary, September through May.
Men’s Chorus: Prepares anthems, periodically, i.e., for Christmas, Mother’s Day, etc. When they meet to practice, it is on Thursdays @ 7:15pm in the Chapel.
Music & Worship Arts Committee: Meets year round on the last Tuesday of the month @ 5:30pm in the Parlor
Mustard Seeds: Grades 6 and up gather Wednesdays @ 5:30pm in the Chapel to learn a song for that evening’s 6:30pm worship service, plus work on a more demanding piece of modern church music to present as a musical offering on a Sunday. Between rehearsal and worship, we have pizza and conversation. Designed to be flexible, the group varies in size and membership, week to week, with new singers always welcome. Why Mustard Seeds? BECAUSE…with faith the size of a mustard seed nothing is impossible.
Personnel Committee: First Tuesday @ 5:30pm in the Media Room
Pray, Knit, Chat: Join us as we knit and crochet prayer shawls and baby hats. Plus we chat and have a little dessert. Thursdays @ 2pm in the Parlor
Sanctuary Choir: The sanctuary choir is a group of good, dedicated singers; the 4-part, mixed choir welcomes new members. Sight-singing capabilities are helpful, but not necessary. Thursdays @ 6:15pm in the Chapel, September through May.
Skittish: This small group meets every 3-4 weeks on a Tuesday @ 5:30pm, September through May, to read Christian themed skits and discuss them. Snacks are provided.
Sometimes Singers: They gather several times a year to sing an anthem at worship, go caroling, visit nursing facilities, etc. ALL are welcome. Rehearsals, when they occur, are always short!
WELCA Board: Meets August though May on the 2nd Monday @ 1pm in the Parlor. There is a spring and fall meeting for all women of the church to attend.
WELCA Circles: There are three WELCA circles that meet - Faith, Hope, and Love.
Youth & Congregational Life Committee: First Sunday @ 7pm in the Parlor.
